Exclusion is easier than Inclusion.

What is taking place in Europe right now from regulations and measures to fight Covid-19 is reflecting the idea of exclusion as an easy measure to apply. It is not only exclusion but a kind of reward system to those who got vaccinated and a punishment to those who did not. This has an impact on the people in many ways one of them is that if you fail to deal with someone or something different it is easier to exclude it from your plans rather than trying to understand and act.

Many people might say what is the alternative should we all sit at home because some people decided not to be vaccinated. The answer is definitely no, this is not the aim of the post. The aim is to let you all think that there are always alternatives for exclusion, but we do not want to make effort. I also want you to put yourself in the shoes of any person who for any reason does not want to be vaccinated and now finds her/himself excluded from everything. Besides, unvaccinated persons are now isolated, are we seeing any significant improvement in the situation?

The long way alternative for me was to assess the situation carefully and we will observe that the situation with Covid-19 was not clear, and the effectiveness of the vaccine was under experiment. So, the situation was telling us that a new wave will hit by late October. So, if we go back to the numbers of cases starting from the end of August, we will find that the cases were starting to rise again. If there was a good plan and measures the best scenario was to start preemptive measures. These measures can be to return obligatory tests for everyone including vaccinated persons before participating in any activity. Decreasing the number of people participating in different events and increasing the awareness of the importance of hygiene, but this did not happen.  Instead, information was not accurately delivered to the people. Those who got vaccinated thought that they are safe and those who are not thought that there was herd immunity. Sadly, both were wrong.

The late reaction of the governments let us reach this point where exclusion measures are the easiest and fastest way to face the pandemic. But is it really effective? Exclusion will never be the answer to our problems.  We should all remember this.
